The Wildcard Story Legacy Challenge: Gameplay & Challenge Rules
Welcome to The Wildcard Story Legacy Challenge.
If you are here, you’re about to begin a Sims journey unlike any other.
Every generation introduces a new protagonist, a new perspective, and a new way to experience your legacy, while the Chaos System ensures that no two heirs ever follow the same path.
So grab a dice. Meet your first Sim. And see where the story takes you.
The Chaos System
Your most important companion throughout this challenge is a dice.
Every generation has its own unique Chaos System, designed to reflect that generation’s story and gameplay. Before you begin each generation, be sure to read the introduction carefully, as it will explain when the Chaos System becomes active and how often you’ll need to roll. This varies between generations.
When it’s time to roll, use a six-sided dice (or a random number generator) and follow the outcome for the number you land on. Unless a rule states otherwise, Chaos events should always be completed. Even if they completely derail your well laid plans.
Play it The Wildcard Way
Before you begin…
To get the best experience from The Wildcard Story Legacy Challenge, there are a few important guidelines to follow:
๐ชถ Life moves quickly.
Use the Normal lifespan throughout the challenge.
๐ฒ Trust the dice.
When Chaos calls, embrace the outcome.
๐ Don’t rewrite history.
Avoid cheats unless the challenge specifically tells you to use them.
๐ณ Grow your world.
Every story needs a cast. Create side characters, neighbours and rival families to bring your story to life.
โจ Write between the lines.
The Wildcard is built for storytellers. Play within the challenge rules, but don’t be afraid to fill in the gaps, expand the world around your Sims, and let your imagination shape the story.
Generations: Gameplay
Meet Your Sim
Your first Sim, Generation 1, arrives in town with just ยง100 and a musical talent they’re destined to waste. They’re charming, impulsive and allergic to stability. Every time life starts looking promising, they’ll find a way to blow it all up. Can you build a legacy for someone who’s their own worst enemy?
Aspiration: Musical Genius
Traits:
- Kleptomaniac
- Noncommittal
- Lazy
Create your Sim in CAS:
- Use the aspiration and traits detailed here
- Everything else, including gender, is up to you!
Starting the Challenge
- Move your Sim onto an empty lot.
- Set household funds to ยง100 (testingcheats true โ money 100).
- Your first Chaos roll will take place on the first day of Phase 2
โก๏ธ Do not place anything on your lot. You must travel to a public lot immediately.
๐Phase 1: Tough Beginnings ~ Days 1โ7
For the first 7 days, your Sim must stay exclusively on public lots and adopt a โhomelessโ lifestyle.
They must:
- Stay unemployed.
- Sleep on benches, sofas or wherever they can find to rest.
- Wash at gyms or other public facilities.
- Eat by buying food when they can afford it, eating meals prepared by other Sims or using quick meals on public lots.
- Earn extra cash through busking or by putting their Kleptomaniac trait to good use.
- They should spend any money they earn impulsively.
- Begin building friendships and romantic connections, but naturally gravitate towards Sims who encourage reckless behaviour rather than stability.
โก๏ธ On day 8, switch to the rules for Phase 2.
๐ตPhase 2: On the Straight and Narrow ~ Day 8 onwards
Your Sim receives a staggering ยง5,000 tip while busking!
On Day 8, your Sim must:
- Return to the home lot.
- Increase household funds by ยง5,000 (money x cheat) and build a small home with basic necessities on the empty lot.
- Get a job immediately.
- You may choose any career for your Sim, except Entertainer.
- As your Sim earns more money, you should slowly expand their home.
โก๏ธ Chaos begins:
- Complete the first Chaos roll on Day 8.
- Continue rolling every 4 days from this point onward.
The Music
Music is your Sim’s greatest passionโฆ and their greatest act of self-sabotage.
Your Sim should:
- Regularly busk and perform on public lots throughout their life.
- Continue playing music throughout every life stage.
However:
- Music may never become your Sim’s long-term career.
- If your Sim starts becoming too successful, they must walk away or blow up any opportunity they may have.
- Your Sim should never achieve lasting financial stability because of their musical talent.
Relationships
Your Sim should:
- Pursue multiple romantic relationships across their lifetime, but never get engaged or marry.
- Seek out chaotic romantic partners, cause arguments, cheat, create tension, and undermine their connections.
โก๏ธ All of your Sim’s romantic relationships should ultimately end in conflict
Lifestyle
Throughout their life, your Sim should:
- Gravitate towards friendships with other chaotic, unemployed, non-committal, or trouble-making Sims
- Spend money impulsively and never save for the future
- Occasionally quit their job on a whim, and have periods of unemployment
- Make full use of their Kleptomaniac trait, “borrowing” anything they think they can get away with
- Not pay much attention to the upkeep of their home, and frequently spend nights at bars instead of at home.
Children (& Legacy Rule)
Your Sim must have 3 children with at least 2 different partners.
Each child should have a different upbringing:
- Oldest: The Golden Child with a strong relationship with their parent.
- Middle: The Toxic Child who has frequent arguments with their parent.
- Youngest: The Neglected Child who has minimal interaction beyond basic care.
โก๏ธ The youngest child must live with your Sim and becomes the Generation 2 heir.
Generation 2 Setup
As a Teen, your heir should:
- Maintain a minimal relationship with their parent.
- Swiftly transition between crushes and juggle multiple romantic interests.
โก๏ธ Immediately upon your heir ageing up to Young Adult, follow the Generation 2 gameplay rules.
๐ฒ Chaos System
Starting Day 8, roll the dice every 4 days and follow through with the outcome.
Roll 1โ6
1 โ Scorched Earth
Your Sim must immediately, and irreversibly, destroy their closest relationship, whether romantic, family or platonic.
2 โ Do Not Disturb
Your Sim must stop attending work immediately and remain at home until they’re fired. Instead, they should spend their days sleeping, on the sofa watching TV, raiding the fridge and avoiding anything that resembles responsibility.
3 โ Line Crossed
Turn the next Sim you interact with into an enemy, regardless of previous friendship status. Their relationship level must drop to despised.
4 โ The Bender
For the next 3 days, your Sim must disappear into a full-blown bender. They must ignore work, childcare and skill building. They should blow through money impulsively and spend as much time as possible going out, staying out and making bad decision
5 โ Love Bug
Your Sim must immediately pursue a new toxic romantic connection, even if they’re already in a relationship. They should prioritise this new connection above everything else.
6 โ The Past Catches Up
Your Sim cannot escape their past. Deduct ยง2,000 from household funds (money x). If that amount is unaffordable, reduce household funds to ยง0.
Meet Your Sim
After a childhood spent competing with their parent’s chaos for attention, your Sim grew up craving the love they never quite received. They fall hard and fast, desperate to feel chosen, but their never-ending search for greener grass only leaves behind a trail of broken hearts. Will their own be one of them?
Aspiration: Serial Romantic
Traits:
- Romantic
- Hot-Headed
- Outgoing
Starting Generation 2
Aided by an inheritance from a distant relative, you begin your journey into adulthood.
- Move your Sim out of their parent Sim’s household as soon as they become a Young Adult.
- Before moving out, add ยง20,000 to the household funds (testingcheats true โ money x). This amount should accompany your Gen 2 Sim into their new household.
- Your Sim should settle into a cosy starter home.
- Your first Chaos roll will take place on Day 4.
Career
- Your Sim can join any career but must never advance beyond Career Level 4. If they achieve this level, they must resign immediately and select a different career path.
- Your Sim should not actively work towards promotions.
- If work ever conflicts with your Sim’s love life, romance always comes first. Skip work, leave early and ignore responsibilities whenever necessary.
Love & Dating Goals
Your Sim must:
- Always have at least one romantic interest
- Never stay single for long
- Have a messy love life with plenty of drama
During your Sim’s lifetime, they should:
- Get engaged at least three times
- Leave at least one Sim at the altar
- Woohoo with at least 15 different Sims
- Break up at least two existing relationships or marriages
โก๏ธ Your Sim should always chase the butterflies. As soon as the excitement fades, their eyes should start to wander.
Reinvention
Maybe the next thing will make your Sim happy…
- Every time your Sim ends an official relationship (boyfriend/girlfriend or higher), they must reinvent themselves by dramatically changing their style aesthetic
- Once they reach Level 4 in any skill, they must lose interest. You should intentionally avoid building their skills beyond this level as much as possible
- Your Sim should regularly make impulsive purchases or home changes whenever they have spare money
Children (& Legacy Rule)
At one point during your Sim’s life, they must be romantically involved with three Sims at the same time.
When you’re ready for your heir, number your three partners A, B and C and roll the dice:
- Roll 1โ2: Try for a baby with Partner A
- Roll 3โ4: Try for a baby with Partner B
- Roll 5โ6: Try for a baby with Partner C
If the attempt does not result in a pregnancy, roll the dice again.
โก๏ธ The first successful pregnancy becomes the heir. Your heir must live with your Gen 2 Sim.
Generation 3 Setup
As a Child and Teen, your heir should:
- Be a high achiever with a focus on school and skill building.
- Have a negative relationship with their Generation 2 parent.
โก๏ธ Immediately upon your heir aging up to Young Adult, follow the Generation 3 gameplay rules.
๐ฒ Chaos System
Starting on Day 4, roll the dice every 4 days and follow through with the outcome.
Roll 1โ6
1 โ The Ick
Your Sims strongest romantic relationship is over. End it immediately, no matter how well things were going.
2 โ Temptation Island
For the next 3 days, your Sim cannot romance anyone they already know. Go out and explore entirely new connections.
3 โ Love Bomber
Your Sim should intensely pursue a new romantic interest, then immediately ghost them right after their first Woohoo. They must avoid any further interaction with this Sim.
4 โ New Era
Itโs time for a rebrand. Immediately change your Sims career, reinvent their look, and spend ยง5,000 on unnecessary home improvements. If you have less than ยง5,000, spend everything you have.
5 โ Love is Blind
Forget your Sims usual type. Go home and count the next 5 eligible Sims who pass by. The fifth becomes your newest romantic obsession. You must pursue them relentlessly for the next 3 days.
6 โ The Reunion
Itโs time for your Sim to throw a partyโฆ And the invite list must include every current and past romantic interest!
Meet Your Sim
Your Sim grew up watching their parent drift through life, wasting opportunities on passion and love. Determined never to make the same mistakes, they quietly planned their escape and, as a teen, made one clever investment, which is now their lifeline to starting fresh. Success, wealth and control are everything. But beneath the perfect image lies someone desperate to keep it all from falling apart.
Aspiration: Fabulously Wealthy
Traits:
- Ambitious
- Self-Assured
- Mean
Starting Generation 3
As soon as your Sim ages up to Young Adult, it’s time for them to move out of their parent Sim’s household.
Before moving out:
- Add ยง50,000 (motherlode cheat) to your household funds and take these funds with you into your new household.
- Move into the best home you can afford.
- Adjust pregnancy settings to ensure your Sim cannot get pregnant or get others pregnant.
Your first Chaos roll will take place on Day 4 of your marriage.
๐ผPhase 1: The Plan
Career
Your Sim must join one of the following careers:
- Business
- Politician (City Living Expansion Pack)
Once they have chosen a career, your Sim must:
- Consistently build required skills.
- Actively work towards promotions.
- Prioritise work above everything else.
- Not pursue a serious relationship until they have reached Level 5 in their career.*
*Civil Servant for Politician, Regional Manager for Business.
Lifestyle
Your Sim should:
- Build a strong social circle made up only of successful, wealthy, or high-status Sims.
- Maintain a disciplined lifestyle. Regular fitness and healthy eating are expected.
โก๏ธ Your Sim can have romantic flings before reaching Career level 5, but these should be superficial and short-lived
The Perfect Match
Immediately after reaching Level 5 in their career, your Sim must:
- Pursue a romantic interest who is attractive and socially desirable.
- During the dating phase, present themselves as the perfect, charming and attentive partner.
- Propose and marry as quickly as possible.
- Not Woohoo with their spouse before marriage.
โก๏ธ As soon as your Sim is married, move on to Phase 2 gameplay. Your first Chaos roll should take place on Day 4 of the marriage.
๐คPhase 2: The Perfect Life
The Wedding Night
On the wedding night, immediately after Woohoo, your Sim must start a major conflict with their new spouse.
After the wedding night, your Sim should:
- Ignore their partner completely for 3 days.
- Then apologise, love bomb and restore the “perfect” version of themselves
โก๏ธ From this point forward, the relationship should become a cycle of conflict, followed by apologies, affection and occasional withdrawal.
The Perfect Spouse
After marriage, your Sim’s partner must:
- Quit their job.
- Focus on becoming the perfect “trophy spouse.”
They should:
- Build high skill in Cooking and Gardening.
- Maintain their appearance and the image of a happy marriage.
- Build a close friendship group with Sims of the same gender.
- Eventually have an affair (refer to the Legacy Rule in the Children section).
Children (& Legacy Rule)
Your Generation 3 Sim must never have a baby with their spouse.
If your Generation 3 Sim is male:
- Their female spouse must have a secret affair.
- This affair must result in a child, and the true parentage must never be intentionally revealed.
If your Generation 3 Sim is female:
- One of your Gen 3 Sim’s friends must temporarily move into the household.
- Your Sim’s spouse and this friend must have an affair that results in a child.
- After the child is born, the affair should be revealed, leading to a fallout. The mother must then move out without the child. Your Sim should raise the child as their own.
โก๏ธ The affair child becomes the Generation 4 heir.
Generation 4 Setup
As a Child & Teen, your heir should:
- Be withdrawn, bookish and spend most of their time reading.
- Have few, if any, close friendships.
- Remain distant with their Generation 3 parent while forming a close bond with their other parent.
โก๏ธ Immediately upon your heir ageing up to Young Adult, follow the Generation 4 gameplay rules.
๐ฒ Chaos System
Your first Chaos roll takes place 4 days after the wedding. After that, roll again every 4 days and follow through with the outcome.
Roll 1โ6
1 โ The “Innocent” Flirt
Your Sim should have a brief fling. They can flirt heavily, or Woohoo once, but must immediately end things afterwards and return to their spouse as if nothing happened.
2 โ Villainous Valentine
For the next 48 hours, your Sim must continuously criticise, belittle and argue with their spouse at every opportunity. Every interaction should become a major conflict.
3 โ Love Bomb
For the next 48 hours, your Sim must become the perfect partner. They should take their spouse on dates and shower them with attention.
4 โ Image Control
Your Sim and their spouse should host a social event to maintain the illusion of a perfect life. During the event, your Sim must act charming, attentive and deeply in love.
5 โ The Motherlode
Your Sim’s investment pays off again. Use the motherlode cheat (+ยง50,000). Upgrade your home or move to a better one immediately.
6 โ Pushed To The Limit
For the next 2 days, your Sim’s spouse must act completely erratically and out of character, causing public embarrassment. This behaviour must have consequences at home.
Meet Your Sim
Your Sim was raised in a house that looked perfect from the outside, but behind closed doors it was anything but. After the sudden death of their powerful parent, they become obsessed with finding the one person they can truly protect. Their devotion is absolute, their intentions feel justified… and anyone who stands in the way may become collateral damage.
Aspiration: Soulmate
Traits:
- Bookworm
- Romantic
- Evil
Starting Generation 4
When your Generation 4 heir ages up to Young Adult:
- Your Generation 3 Sim must die shortly afterwards, and the cause of death must be staged or “accidental” (e.g. the infamous disappearing pool ladder).
- Complete the first Chaos roll 4 days after the death of your Generation 3 Sim.
Following the death, your Generation 4 Sim must:
- Remain living in the family home.
- Inherit all household funds and assets.
The surviving parent must remain in the household until their natural passing, but they should withdraw from the outside world.
Career
Your Sim should:
- Live mostly off their inheritance but spend time pursuing their passion in writing.
- Actively work towards long-term success as an independent writer, but never join the Writer career path.
Obsession & Control
You should make alterations to your Sim’s home:
- Build a new hidden basement, cellar or area of the house with locked, isolated rooms.
- This space must become central to your gameplay.
Throughout Generation 4:
- At least 6 Sims must die on the lot under suspicious circumstances.*
- At least 4 of them must be Sims your Sim has pursued romantically.
โก๏ธ Who lives… and who doesn’t, is (mostly) up to you!
Note: There are mods out there that can make the gameplay for this generation very gruesome, but finding and using these is up to the discretion of the player.
Lifestyle
Your Sim should:
- Avoid close friendships unless they directly benefit their goals.
- Spend as much free time as possible reading or writing.
- Frequently visit public lots to observe other Sims without actively socialising.
Love & Relationships
Your Sim must:
- Develop intense romantic attachments.
- When one romantic interest is gone, they should find a new one without delay.
- Only pursue one romantic connection at a time and become completely consumed by it.
Your Sim can have multiple relationships throughout their life, but they may only marry twice:
Their first spouse:
- Must die under suspicious circumstances.
Their second spouse:
- Must have a child with your Sim.
- Must survive and eventually escape the relationship with the child.
Children (& Legacy Rule)
Your Sim should have a child in their second marriage.
- Your Sims spouse must survive and escape with the baby before they reach the Child life stage.
โก๏ธ This child becomes the Generation 5 heir.
- Your Generation 4 Sim must avoid all contact going forward.
- Your Generation 4 Sim may have other children but should avoid building relationships with them, and not be a real part of their lives.
๐ฒ Chaos System
Every 4 days, roll the dice and follow through with the outcome.
Roll 1โ6
1 โ The Replacement
Your Sim must move on from their current romantic focus without escalation (lucky escape!) and immediately become obsessed with someone new
2 โ The Cellar
Bring a Sim to the homelot and restrict their freedom. After 24 hours of captivity, roll again. Roll 1/2/3 โ Release, Roll 4/5/6 โ Their story must end
3 โ The Alibi
Your Sim needs an alibi. Spend a day on public lots building relationships and being the perfect citizen. Make two new friends before returning home.
4 โ The Stalker
Thereโs something different about the next stranger your Sim encountersโฆ Your Sim must spend the next 3 days obsessively following, visiting and monitoring them. Disguise is strongly encouraged.
5 โ The Rabbit Hole
Your Sim becomes consumed by their writing for 3 days. Stay home, avoid all visitors and write obsessively. Your Sim must neglect their needs, sleep as little as possible and act increasingly erratic.
6 โ The Witness
Someone knows too much… A Sim who is not your Sims current romantic interest must die on the lot within 72 hours.
The Bitter End
When your Sim reaches the final days of their Adult life stage, you should trigger their death.
- Your Sim must die on the home lot, in their hidden, locked rooms.
- The cause of death must be starvation (locked in / no access to food).
โก๏ธ Once your Generation 4 Sim has died, transition to play the Generation 5 heir’s household.
Meet Your Sim
Your Sim remembers very little about their early childhood, only the feeling that they were always running from something. The parent who raised them gave them a safe and loving home, but carried scars they never spoke about. Your Sim grew up trying to make others laugh, and dreaming of one thing above all else: a life filled with stability, love and family. But could losing the life they always wanted help them discover who they really are?
Aspiration: Big Happy Family
Traits:
- Family-Oriented
- Creative
- Goofball
Starting Generation 5
Upon the death of Generation 4, move to play your Generation 5 heir’s household.
- You may use cheats to age your heir up to a Young Adult, but you can choose to play out their childhood years if you prefer.
- Your Generation 5 Sim must live with their surviving parent until they find a spouse.
- Your first Chaos roll will take place 4 days after moving to Phase 2 of gameplay.
๐ณPhase 1: Happy Families
Domestic Bliss
Right from the start, your Sim’s goal should be to find a stable partner with a respectable career to build a life and home with. They should marry and begin their new life together as quickly as possible.
While pursuing this relationship, your Sim can also:
- Build friendships.
- Build skills.
- Have a part-time job.
โก๏ธ At the start of Phase 1, your Sim’s life should be as ordinary as possible, without too much drama.
Once married, your Sim should embrace the role of the perfect spouse. They should:
- Quit their part-time job if they have one.
- Focus on having and raising children.
- Actively improve their household skills (e.g. Cooking).
- Reach at least Level 6 Charisma before Phase 2.
Your Sim must have at least 2 children* and actively nurture a happy, loving home, strong family relationships and a perfect, affectionate marriage.
*For Legacy Rule purposes, one of the children must be a girl. If your second child isn’t a girl, keep trying or use cas.fulleditmode cheat.
The Affair
Once your Sim and their spouse have 2 children (or more, if neither of the first two is a girl and you don’t want to use a cheat):
- Your Sim’s spouse must have an affair.
- The infidelity must be discovered and lead to conflict.
- The marriage must end in divorce, with the spouse moving out and leaving your Sim with the children.
- Your Sim should maintain a co-parenting relationship with their ex and have them come over to see the children frequently.
โก๏ธ Your Sim’s spouse moving out will trigger the beginning of Phase 2.
๐คPhase 2: The New Beginning
The Comedian
After entering Phase 2, your Sim must:
- Switch their Aspiration to Joke Star.
- Immediately pursue a career in Comedy.
- Actively work toward real success in their career, at times at the expense of their children.
- Regularly perform at public lots.
As your Sim’s popularity grows, so does their income:
- Once you reach Career Level 5 (Jokesmith), you may award yourself an extra ยง5,000 (kaching x5 or money x cheat) for each performance at a public lot.
- Once you reach Career Level 8 (Roast Master), you may award yourself an extra ยง50,000 (motherlode cheat) for each performance at a public lot.
Love After
After divorce, your Sim may pursue romantic relationships throughout their life.
- These relationships can become serious, but should ultimately be unsuccessful due to conflicting career and family responsibilities.
- Your Sim must never remarry.
Family Life
Your Sim should:
- Have a genuinely loving relationship with their children.
- BUT frequently disappoint their children by prioritising work and popularity over family commitments.
- Try to make up for missed moments with grand gestures, gifts or quality time.
- Maintain contact with their ex-spouse as co-parents, with periods of warmth (and occasional rekindling of romance) followed by conflict.
Generation 6 Setup
Choose a female heir to carry on the legacy for Generation 6. If you have more than one girl, pick the one who leans most into the ditzy socialite energy.
As a Child and Teen, your heir should:
- Prioritise popularity, appearance and social status over school or responsibilities.
- Misbehave and get into trouble.
- Spend their time on boys, socialising and building friendships.
โก๏ธ On the final days of their Teen life stage, your Generation 6 heir must have a major fallout with their Generation 5 parent. From this moment onward, begin following the Generation 6 gameplay rules.
๐ฒ Chaos System
Make your first Chaos roll 4 days after beginning Phase 2.
After this, roll every 4 days.
Roll 1โ6
๐ค 1 โ The World Tour
Until the next Chaos roll, your Sim should perform comedy at a public lot every day, visiting as many different venues as possible. Career comes first โ family responsibilities can wait.
๐ 2 โ Rekindle
Your Sim must revisit the past and Woohoo with their ex-spouse. This should be quickly followed by emotional fallout and drama.
๐ธ 3 โ Reckless Night
Itโs time to go out and blow off some steam. Stay out until morning, kiss someone new and start an argument with someone else.
๐คก 4 โ Commit to the Bit
Your Sim decides their comedy needs a gimmick. Give them a completely over-the-top stage outfit and make them wear it everywhere until the next Chaos roll.
๐ 5 โ The Mistress
Your Sim should confront their exโs affair partner in public and start a fight.
If rolled again โ repair the relationship and become friends.
If rolled a third time โ roll again.
๐ซถ 6 โ The Overcorrection
Guilt hits all at once. For the next 2 days, your Sim must focus entirely on their children โ plan activities, stay home, buy gifts, redecorate rooms and be the ultimate โsuper parentโ
Meet Your Sim
After their parentโs comedy career took off, your Sim grew up surrounded by fame and attention. They quickly learned that popularity opens doors and no publicity is bad publicity. Your Sim has never understood why anyone would work hard when life is meant to be glamorous, exciting and fun. For them, attention is everything, and thereโs always another party waiting.
Aspiration: Party Animal or World Famous Celebrity
Traits:
- Outgoing
- Materialistic or High Maintenance
- Self-Absorbed
Starting Generation 6
- On the final days of their Teen life stage, your Generation 6 Sim must have a major argument with their Generation 5 parent.

โก๏ธ You should complete your first Chaos roll on Day 4.
The Lifestyle
Your Sim’s world revolves around glitz, glamour and being exactly where the attention is. Reputation is irrelevant. Attention is everything.
Your Sim’s lifestyle should be filled with social events, parties and being seen.
Your Sim should:
- Build a wide social circle, but only befriend Sims who are attractive or wealthy.
- Become as popular as possible, but regularly have fallouts with their friends.
- Prioritise materialistic things, fashion, beauty and maintaining a flawless appearance.
- Host lavish parties and hangouts.
- Behave in ways that are unhinged, dramatic or socially inappropriate.
- Cause public embarrassment or scandal.
Funding the Lifestyle
Your Sim should never settle into a serious long-term career. Instead, they should fund their lifestyle by:
- Using romantic relationships for financial gain.
- Mending bridges and spending time with their Comedian parent. For any hangouts, you may use the kaching cheat (+ยง1,000) to represent ongoing financial support.
- Occasionally throwing themselves into a “passion project” such as painting, cooking, social media, photography, styling, performing, interior decorating or wellness.
- These ventures should be short-lived, quickly abandoned and ultimately unsuccessful.
Love & Relationships
Your Sim can have as many romantic relationships as they desire throughout their lifetime, with a few pre-set goals:
- They must get engaged at least 6 times.
- They must marry at least once, and their first marriage should be to someone completely wrong for them (rockstar, party animal or similarly chaotic but rich Sim).
- This relationship should be intense and fast-moving and end in a dramatic, very public divorce.
After their first marriage:
- Relationships should be impulsive and escalate quickly.
- Your Sim should move from one partner to the next without much pause.
Your Sim may:
- Use relationships for financial or social gain.
- Have overlapping relationships and engage in affairs, regardless of marital status.
Your Sim may marry as many times as you like and have children with whomever you choose, but they must have at least one child who will become the heir.
Children (& Legacy Rule)
Your Sim must have at least one child.
If your Sim has more than one child, you may choose any of them to become the Generation 7 heir.
As a Child and Teen, your heir should:
- Become Vegetarian as early as possible.
- Reject their parent’s shallow lifestyle and develop an interest in wellness and nature.
- Build Charisma skill.
โก๏ธ Immediately upon ageing up to Young Adult, begin following the Generation 7 gameplay rules.
๐ฒ Chaos System
Roll every 4 days.
Roll 1โ6
1 โ Passion Project
Your Sim should dedicate themselves to a โpassion project” for 4 days, then abandon it completely.
2 โ Cancelled
Your Sims latest scandal has caught up to them. For the next 3 days, no parties, dates or social events. Your Sim must stay out of the spotlight.
3 โ Nepo Baby
To maintain your Sims luxurious lifestyle, it’s time to mend bridges with their successful parent. Spent quality time together and receive a generous gift of ยง50,000 using motherlode
4 โ You’re Dead to Me
Number your Sim’s 6 closest friends and roll the dice. Whoever fate chooses is officially out. Ruin the friendship and do everything you can to sabotage their life and reputation.
6 โ Incognito
Fame is exhausting. Change your Sim into a outrageously ridiculous disguise and have them spend the day out in public.
6 โThe Afterparty
Your Sim must throw an extravagant party and make sure everyone has something to talk about. Before the night ends, start a fight, make an enemy and cause a romantic scandal (cheat, Woohoo with someone inappropriate, break up a couple…).
Meet Your Sim
Growing up surrounded by chaos and scandal made your Sim crave for something different. They leave their old life behind in search of peace, purpose and balance, determined to build a life rooted in wellness and self-discovery. As others begin looking to your Sim for guidance, their influence quietly grows. Will what begun as genuine enlightenment slowly turn into something far more controlling?
Aspiration: Neighbourhood Confidante
Traits:

- Self-Assured
- Perfectionist
Starting Generation 7
Once your Generation 7 heir ages up to Young Adult, they should:
- Take ยง15,000 from household funds and move out immediately.
- Move onto an empty lot and build themselves a small, minimalist home.
- Complete the first Chaos roll on Day 4 of Phase 2.
๐ฟPhase 1: The Wellness Era (First 10 Days)
The Lifestyle (Phase 1)
During Phase 1 (first 10 days), your Sim may only make money through scavenging.
They should build a routine:
- Eat healthy, vegetarian, home-cooked meals.
- Participate in wellness activities such as journaling and stargazing.
- Actively build Cooking, Gardening and Charisma skills.
- Meditate daily and practise yoga, if you have the Spa Day Expansion Pack.
They must:
- Never attend bars or drink alcohol.
- Not form romantic relationships.
The Outside World
Your Sim should:
- Visit public lots daily and actively meet new Sims and build friendships.
Their goal should be to:
- Introduce themselves to as many Sims as possible.
- Have at least 7 friends by the end of Day 10 (at least one of whom should be wealthy).
Your Sim should regularly offer advice and guidance, positioning themselves as someone others rely on.
The First Follower
During Phase 1, your Sim must:
- Befriend a wealthy Sim.
- Build the relationship to Best Friends by providing time, attention and guidance.
On Day 10 of Phase 1, your Sim should invite this friend to the home lot. During this visit, something shifts. They do not merely appreciate what your Sim has to offer; they are eager to invest in it.
During this visit:
- Add ยง150,000 to your household funds (use the motherlode cheat three times).
โก๏ธ After you have secured the funds, begin Phase 2.
๐ฏ๏ธPhase 2: The Retreat
The Retreat
At the start of this phase, use the obtained funds to transform your Sim’s home into The Retreat.
The build should feature:
- Private living space for your Sim.
- Simple guest rooms for members.
- Large communal areas (garden, kitchen & dining space, meditation spaceโฆ)
The environment should feel purposeful. This is a place where Sims will want to gather, and never wish to leave.
The Lifestyle (Phase 2)
Your Sim must maintain the enlightened lifestyle they have built (diet, wellnessโฆ), but some things have irreversibly changed.
They must:
- No longer visit public lots.
- Stay at The Retreat at all times.
- Focus primarily on their followers and the growth of The Retreat.
The Followers
Your Sim’s connections deepen.
- Any Sim who reaches Good Friend status becomes a follower.
- If you have Get Together, this can be formalised as a club.
- For each new follower, add ยง5,000 to household funds (money x or kaching cheat).
Once a Sim becomes a follower:
- Followers should spend increasing time at The Retreat.
- Your Sim should actively influence their followers’ lives and isolate them from the outside world.
- Followers should adopt a shared look or aesthetic, which can be set by you.
- You may move followers into the household.
Your Sim must invite at least 5 followers to The Retreat every 48 hours.
Relationships
- Your Sim must never enter a serious or monogamous relationship.
- But they may have flings, unhealthy connections and Woohoo with followers.
Children (+ Legacy Rule)
Your Sim may have as many children as desired, but they must have at least one. All potential children must be with followers.
One follower who shares a child with your Sim must:
- Live in the household.
- Eventually choose to leave.
- Take their child with them.
Your Sim must cut all contact with both the child and the other parent.
โก๏ธ This child becomes the Generation 8 heir.
๐ฒ Chaos System
Beginning on Day 4 of Phase 2, roll the dice every 4 days.
Roll 1โ6
1 โ The Favourite
Choose one follower and have your Sim give them undivided attention for 3 days. Build romance and spend excessive time together. Then withdraw your affection completely.
1 โ The Traitor
One follower has betrayed your Sim. Assign six followers a number and roll the dice. The chosen Sim must be banished from the Retreat immediately and may never return.
3 โ Behind Closed Doors
Your Sim must invite two followers into their private living quarters and lock the door for 24 hours. Nobody else may enter, and nobody leaves until the time is up.
4 โ The Great Leader
Invite all followers to the Retreat for a formal gathering. Your Sim should host a group activity and interact with all attendees. For every follower in attendance, add ยง2,000 to your household funds (kaching or money x cheat).
5 โ The Temptation
For the next 48 hours, your Sim must leave the Retreat. Drink, party, Woohoo with an outsider, fight or spend money recklessly. Afterwards, return to the Retreat as if nothing happened.
6 โ The Offering
Something goes too far. A follower must die on the lot under suspicious circumstances.
The Fall of The Retreat
- Once The Retreat has grown to 25 followers or your Sim approaches the elder life stage (whichever happens first), your Sim should slowly become increasingly withdrawn and erratic, distancing themselves from followers and starting frequent arguments
- Eventually they should abandon The Retreat entirely and flee without warning
โก๏ธ Once your leader has fled, move to play household with Generation 8 heir
Meet Your Sim
Your Sim grew up hearing stories about the generations that came before them. Stories of chaos, heartbreak and lives that never quite went to plan. Determined to break the cycle, your Sim dreams of something differentโa stable, happy and fulfilling life. But after everything, one thing rings true. No matter how carefully you plan, fate always has the final say.
Aspiration
Roll a dice to determine your Sim’s Aspiration:

2 โ Painter Extraordinaire
3 โ Soulmate
4 โ Outdoor Enthusiast
5 โ Renaissance Sim
6 โ Freelance Botanist

Playing Generation 8

Your only predetermined goal is to create a stable, happy, and fulfilling life for your Sim, which should encompass:
- Pursuing a stable career.
- Engaging in fulfilling hobbies and friendships.
- Building a long-term, monogamous romantic relationship.
- Starting a family.
But of course, nothing is ever quite that simple and Chaos always has a say.
